Srila Prabhupada said of the beautiful flowers, trees and fruits in Hawaii, "This is God's creation--varieties. Impersonal or void, without variety, that is not enjoyment." And he wrote, "Just as there is material variegatedness in this world, in the spiritual world there is also variegatedness. He expressed thanks to Govinda dasi "because she has taken so much care to growtulsiplants from seeds." Govinda dasi was the first disciple to grow this sacred plant outside Indian--in Hawaii, around 1970.Tulasiis important in Deity service.
