finally I play on my lovely Tilak Mrdanga.
The Mrdanga has a nice sound with a deep reverberating bass on the bayan side and
a lovely high pitch on the dayan side.
For our climate the best option since the drum is tunable. I still keep the clay khol from Vrindavan though playable only at certain weather conditions.
The fibreglass suits every day. :-).

I would suppose when one creates a site with such a venerable name one would do so with a great deal of forethought. Please do take the time to read the mission statement of the proprietor and you will feel the Heart in what they seek to accomplish. As a devotee of Lord Krishna for almost 5 decades I have never lived in a large city where certain items can be obtained. Title:Transcending grief & misery
Krsna confirms everything I ever suspected about reality, as it is. Thirty years ago, I was psychoanalysed and diagnosed by Western medical practitioners as being mentally unstable. (Bipolar illness) I have been heavily medicated for over thirty years, with heavy pharmaceutical psychoactive drugs which were meant to adjust my perception so that I would not commit suicide. I have always been honest to everybody, admitting humbly, that I could not comprehend reality (even though I spent 17 years completing a degree majoring in philosophy. I had been praying to God constantly, to help me understand the seemable absurdity about me, & was one day, compelled to purchase a copy of Prabhupada's translation of Bhagavad Gita, which had been advertised by a seller on Ebay, as the perfect solution to anxiety and depression. It did not take long for me to comprehend that this book was able to comprehensively explain the absurdity of reality to me, so that I could make sense of myself, my place, & my purpose, as well as that of others. I have continued studying beyond BG, & am presently studying Prabhupada's translation of Srimad Bhagavatum. My mind has never been more at peace, & I have never felt so content. I have been distributing Prabhupada's books ever since, to many people, and they have given me much joy, after reading them, & glorifying Krsna. I don't think anything makes me feel happier to hear them say Hare Krsna! Because I know how much happier I feel in Krsna Consciousness. I highly recommend Prabhupada's books to everybody who is suffering unnecessarily, due to ignorance of complete knowledge of the self & our higher purpose in this realm. Title:Buy books before the internet eats you
These books are beautifully bound and illustrated. The many plates of colourful and detailed prints add much to the presentation. I would prefer if the story was given in full in English, rather than piece by piece next to the original language and explanations. I’d like to see all three in the book, but made separately, so I can for myself read the entire text through, rather than it being broken up, like it is currently. I belong to the Bahá’í Faith. I wish we get Religious Education in schools. Society is falling due to religious wars and politics but also society is falling because we haven’t had the access in youth to becoming educated by reading Quran, Bible etc. So it makes me very happy to have these books in my possession. Allah’u’abhá and Namaste.

I felt like quitting Krishna consciousness because my friend comes down here with a
free breakfast of meat and I feel obligated to eat it so I was dumping the books onto
charity shops but I was always drawn back to Krishna so I was ordering more from time
to time . Swami Prabupadhu has interesting comments on desire, he says you can't kill desire
but rechannel it for a higher purpose . Take the Buddha reaching nirvana didn't curb his
appetite - you must have seen statues of the Buddha after enlightenment depicted as being fat . Also deep meditation can be dangerous as the Devil could get in tempting you . Mantra
